JOSÉ VAN LOON

José van Loon is a Dutch textile artist whose work explores memory, repetition and the transformation of everyday materials into intricate sculptural compositions.

Drawing inspiration from daily life, personal memories and the vulnerability of fleeting moments, she develops her own patterns and combines machine embroidery with meticulous hand stitching.

Working with wool felt, thread and found objects, Van Loon creates richly layered works that move between two-dimensional textile art and three-dimensional sculpture.

Her distinctive practice brings together traditional craftsmanship, contemporary artistic expression and a fascination with the unexpected possibilities of familiar materials.
